Bhíodh sé ina chomhalta ar Foras na Gaeilge agus tá sé ina ghobharnóir ar Choláiste Feirste.

Jake MacSiacais is a married man with five children. He was born in North Belfast but has spent most of his life in West Belfast. He has been the Director of Forbairt Feirste since 2004, and serves as a voluntary board member on various organisations including, Fáilte Feirste Thiar (West Belfast Tourism Body) and An Cheathrú Ghaeltachta Teo (Gaeltacht Quarter Board). He also served as a  Board member on Foras na Gaeilge (All Ireland Language Body) and is a member of Coláistre Feirste Board of Governors.


He is a keen amateur historian.



Colma McKee- Comhordaitheoir oiliúna/Training co-ordinator


Is bean phosta í Colma McKee a bhfuil ceathar páistí aicí. Rugadh agus tugadh Colma i nGaeltacht Bhóthar Seoighe, in iarthar Bhéal Feirste. Is duine d’íníonacha Bhríghid Bean Mhic Sheáin agus Séamus Mac Seáin í, beirt sin a bhí ar bhunaitheoirí Gaeltacht Seoighe. Tá sí ag obair le Forbairt Feirste ó bhunú é i 1996 agus tá sí bainte le cursaí oiliúna ó bhí 1998 ann. Faoir láthair tá sí ag feidhmiú mar chomhordaitheoir oiliúna Fhorbairt Feirste, agus í mbun an chúrsa oiliúna ‘I dTreo na Fostaíochta’. Tá céim aici i Ríomhaireacht agus Gnó agus tá sí ina gobharnóir ar Choláiste Feirste, an dara Gaelcholáiste is mó in Éirinn.


Colma McKee is married with four children. She was born and raised in Belfast’s Shaw’s Road Gaeltacht, in West Belfast. She is a daughter of Bríghid Mhic Sheáin and Séamas MacSeáin, two of the founders of the Shaw’s Road Gaeltacht. She has been employed with Forbairt Feirste since it’s formation in 1996 and has been involved in training since 1998.  She is currently Forbairt Feirste’s training co-ordinator and directs our training course ‘Towards Employment’.  She has a degree in Computers and Business and is also a member of the Board of Governors of Coláiste Feirste, the second biggest Irish Medium second level college in Ireland.


Feargal Mac Ionnrachtaigh – Oifigeach Tionscnaimh/Project worker


Rugadh agus tógadh Feargal in Iarthar Bhéal Feirste. D’fhreastail sé ar Bhunscoil Phobal Feirste agus Coláiste Feirste. Bhain sé céim amach in Ollscoil na Banríona sa Ghaeilge agus sa stair. Theagasc sé ar feadh bliana i gColáiste Feirste i 2007 sula ndeachaigh sé ar ais chun céim Dochtúireachta a dhéanamh ar stair na hAthbheochana Gaelaí sna Sé Chondae. Tá sé gníomhach in athbheochan na Gaeilge le blianta beaga anuas agus é ag obair mar Oifigeach Gnó Le Gaeilge agus Tionscadail le Forbairt Feirste ó 2009. Is cathaoirleach é fosta ar eagraíocht Ghaeilge áitiúil, Glór na Móna. Is ball imeartha é do Ghort na Móna CLG chomh maith leis an fhoireann peile lánGhaelach, Laochra Loch Lao.


Feargal was born and raised in West Belfast and is a former pupil of Bunscoil Phobal Feirste and Coláiste Feirste. He attended Queen’s University and earned a degree in Irish and Modern History. He taught for a year in Coláiste Feirste before returning to Queen’s to complete a PhD on the history of the Irish language revival in the Six Counties. He is active in the Irish language revival in the city and has worked as the Irish Means Business Project Worker with Forbairt Feirste since July 2009. He is chairperson of a local Irish Language group, Glór na Móna. He is also a playing member of Gort na Móna CLG and the Irish speaking Gaelic Football team Laochra Loch Lao.


Tarlach Ó Branagáin – Riarthóir/Administrator


Is fear singil é Tarlach Ó Branagáin. Rugadh agus tógadh Tarlach in Ard Eoin i dTuaisceart Bhéal Feirste, áit a bhfuil cónaí air ar fad. Fuair sé a chuid oideachais i scoil Naomh Gabriel agus in Ollscoil Uladh, áit ar fhoghlaim sé a chuid Ghaeilge. Tá Tarlach ag obair go lánaimseartha i saol na Gaeilge ó bhí 1997 ann. Tá sé ag feidhmiú mar riarthóir oifige páirt-aimseartha ag Forbairt Feirste ó bhí 2005 ann. D’oibrigh sé roimhe seo ag roinnt eagraíochtaí Gaeilge, Glór na nGael agus Lá Nua ina measc. Is aistritheoir gairmiúil é Tarlach agus teagascann sé ranganna oíche Gaeilge ar fud Bhéal Feirste.


Tarlach Ó Branagáin is a single man who was born and raised in Ardoyne in North Belfast where he still lives in the family home. Tarlach was educated at St Gabriel’s High School and at the University Of Ulster, where he acquired his Irish. Tarlach has been working in the Irish Language sector since 1997. He has been Forbairt Feirste’s part-time office administrator since 2005. Tarlach has worked in various Irish Language organisations including Glór na nGael and Lá Nua. Tarlach is a professional translator and teaches Irish Language classes throughout Belfast.
