Tá an comhlacht tógála, Patton group, atá i mbún oibre athchóirithe faoi láthair ar leabharlann na Bhfál, i ndiaidh comharthaí sábhalteachta Gaeilge a chur in airde ar an suíomh s’acu i gcroílár na ceathrún Ghaeltachta. Dar le hOifigeach Tionscadail, Forbairt Feirste, Feargal Mac Ionnrachtaigh;

‘Fáiltíonn Forbairt Feirste roimh an nuachtlitir dhá-theangach agus comharthaíocht shabhálteachta ar an suíomh clúiteach ag Leabharlann na BhFál agus bhí muid breá sásta seirbhísí aistriucháin saor in aisce a sholáthar don tógra fiúntach seo. Léiriú atá ann ar an dul chun cinn atá déanta ag Fís na Ceathrún Ghaeltachta go bhfuil comhlachtaí móra tógala ó taobh amuigh don chathair ar nós Patton Group, ag aithint tábhacht na Gaeilge mar áis sáiniúil cultúrtha sa ghnó, geillagair agus forbairt áitiúil. Is cuid lárnach do Bhóthar na BhFál é an leabharlann le cead bliain anuas agus mar sin, b’fhéiliúnach go n-aithníonn an athchóiriú agus forbairt seo an ról a bhéas ag an Ghaeilge i dtodhchaí na háite na céanna’.’

English

The construction company, Patton Group, who are currently undertaking reconstruction work on the Falls Library, have recently erected Irish langauge signs on their site in the heart of the Gaeltacht Quarter. According to Forbairt Feirste Project Worker, Feargal Mac Ionnrachtaigh;

‘Forbairt Feirste welcome this new bilingual newsletter and safety signage on the famous site of the Falls Library and were delighted to provide the free translation services for such a progressive initiative. It’s indicative of the progress made with the vision of the Gaeltacht Quarter that construction firms from outside the city such as the Patton Group recognise the importance of the Irish language as a unique cultural asset in local commerce, business and development. The Falls Library has been a focal point of the Falls Road for a hundred years and its therefore fitting that its renovation and development recognises that the Irish language will play a central role its future.’
