Speaking at the Mural Launch Ciarán Magoill, Gaeltacht Quarter Chair said: “Belfast needs to build bridges of common identity and purpose for a successful and harmonious future. Those bridges include Irish language, heritage and culture – which are bountiful in the Gaeltacht Quarter. Dutton’s Big Plan and the Ministerial Summit which will launch it will help boost that potential to the benefit of all.The prize of further developing this environment already rich in talented entrepreneurs is to seed new economic development models and success stories.”

Speaking of the renewed opportunity around the Gaeltacht Quarter action plan Forbairt Feirste Chair Sean Mistéíl said: “ The Gaeltacht Quarter continues to provide a refreshingly positive alternative to the ideas of identity that polarize others areas of Belfast, harnessing its cultural distinctiveness as a visit-generating center piece, business catalyst, educational facilitator and community builder. We are delighted that Clive Dutton has been engaged by DCAL through Forbairt Feirste to encourage links and traction across ministerial portfolios, Government departments and local bodies. He comes with an unimpeachable track record. It is a great step forward to have four Assembly ministers come to Coláiste Feirste this Friday to lend their support to this transformative initiative ”
