Rinneadh láinseáil ar Chorn Uí Mhuirí agus Féile Péile na nBunscoileanna an mháirt seo caite (17-4-12) i gColáiste Feirste. Bhí bunscoileanna ann ó fud fad Bhéal Feirste chun éisteacht le Maureen Uí Mhuirí, máthair Liam, a sheol an comórtas. Labhair sí leis an slua fán bhród atá ar an chlann go bhfuil comórtas chomh fiúntach leis seo ainmnithe in omos do Liam agus guígh sí gach rath ar na scoileanna ar fad.

Tarlóidh an comórtas, atá dírithe ar Bhunscoileanna Bhéal Feirste  ar an Déardaoin 26ú Aibreán. Beidh dhá scoil dhéag ag glacadh páirte ann i mbliana le Gaelscoil Éanna as Gleann Ghorm Liath ar an scoil is úire chun theacht ar bord leis an chomórtas. Tá an príomhchorn ‘Corn Liam Uí Mhuirí’, a bheas a bhuachán ar an lá, ainmnithe in ómós do Liam Ó Muirí, Gaeil  iomráiteach a d’éag go hóg agus go tragóideach i Mí Eanáir 2010. B’iardhalta é  Liam ar Bhunscoil Phobal Feirste. D’imir sé do Naomh Pól agus d’oibrigh sé go lánaimseartha le Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta.

Dúirt Seán Fennell, duine de phríomheagraithe an chomórtais:  ‘Is mór an ónóir dúinn go bhfuair muid cead ó theaghlach Liam ár gcorn a ainmniú ina ómós. Gael tiománta, díograiseach a bhí ann a sheas do na mórluachanna lena mbíonn muid ag dúil ó pháistí Ghaelscoile s’againn.”

‘Ba mhaith linn buíochas a ghábháil do Choláiste Feirste, Laochra Loch Lao CLG, Cumann Naomh Pól agus Cumann Rossa as tacaíocht a thabhairt dúinn leis an chómortas iontach seo. Lena chois, tá muid buíoch do Chomhairle na Gaelscolaíochta as maoiniú a chur ar fáil chun costaisí na nboinn a chlúdach don lá. Ceiliúradh iontach a bhéas ann do Ghaeil óga Bhéal Feirste agus os coinn 250 páistí ag glacadh páirte ar an lá. Tá muid ag dúil go mór leis!’
