Cur i láthair ag stiúrthóir Forbairt Feirste ar logainmneacha

Rinne stiúrthóir Forbairt Feirste, Jake MacSiacais, roinnt cur i láthair ar logainmneacha Cheantar Chluanaí mar chuid d’Fhéile an Earraigh a reáchtáladh ón Déardaoin 4ú go dtí an Domhnach 7ú Feabhra.


Bhí dhá léacht éagsúla ann ar théama logainmneacha a rinneadh mar chuid de Thionscadal Nansen, scéim leanúnach de chuid Forbairt Feirste.


Rinneadh an chéad chur i láthair ar an Aoine 5/2/2010 i nGaelscoil na Móna agus bhí roinnt scoláirí ó rang a sé agus rang a seacht ón scoil féin, mar aon le daltaí rang a sé agus a seacht ó Scoil na mBráithre Naomh Aodán i láthair.


Bhí an dara cur i láthair ann ar an Domhnach 7/2/2010 i dTábhairne Caulfields ag barr Bhóthar na Carraige Báine. Bhí an dá sheisiún bríomhar agus cuireadh roinnt mhaith ceisteanna ar an aoíchainteoir acu siúd a d’fhreastail ar an dá ócáid.

Forbairt Feirste Director delivers talks on placenames

Forbairt Feirste director, Jake MacSiacais has given a series of presentations on the theme of placenames of the Upper Springfield. The talks were held as part of the Spring Festival which ran from Thursday 4th until Sunday 7th February.


There were two lectures in total over the weekend on the theme of placenames which formed part of Forbairt Feirste’s ongoing scheme, The Nansen Project.


The first talk took place in Gaelscoil na Móna on Friday 5/2/2010 and was attended by the school’s primary six and seven pupils along with their counterparts from Saint Aidan’s Christian Brothers’ School.


The second presentation took place in Caulfield’s Bar at the top of the Whiterock Road on Sunday 7/2/2010. Both sessions were lively with the audience asking lots of questions of the guest speaker.
