Beidh stiúrthóir Forbairt Feirste i measc lucht na Gaeilge, na Gaidhlige agus na Breatnaise a bheas ag labhairt ag cruinniú speisialta de chuid Comhairle na Breataine na hÉireann a bheas le reáchtáil ag sean charcair Bhóthar Cromghlinne aa an Déardaoin agus an Aoine an 8ú agus 9ú Márta.

Forbairt Feirste Director, Jake Mac Siacais will be among Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Welesh speakers whio will address a special conference of the British Irish Council which will be held in Belfast’s Crumlin Road Gaol on Thursday and Friday the 8th and 9th of March.


“I will be addressing the issue of urban regeneration” said Jake, ” I will be discussing the pathway from the West Belfast Task Force Report of 2001 through to the Glas le Fás/Green with Growth strategy, launched by Gerry Adams, TD at the end of 2017.


Alongside MacSiacais, at the conference will be Niall Ó Catháin from An Charn who will address the same issue from a rural perspective.


The conference will be opened by Deputy Secretary of the Department of Communites, Ian Snowden, the Senior Responsible Officer within the department for the development of the Gaeltacht Quarter and  Iwan Evans, Chair of the Languages Work Sector of the British Irish Council.


Amongst the other local speakers at the conference will be Linda Ervine from Turas the Irish Language group of Skainos, Mairéad Nic Giolla Mhichíl From UCD and Ian Crozier CEO of the Ulster Scots Agency.
