Forbairt 2000 is directed by Forbairt Feirste and based in the new Irish Language Unit Cosáin na Carraige at BIFHE Whiterock. It is a flexible, multi-module programme which aims to meet the needs of the individual but which invariably equips each trainee with IT training, with experience in the workplace and with enhanced personal skills. This unique training programme promotes the Irish Language as a valuable asset in the job market.

Each trainee designs his/her own programme from a compilation of the following modules:
  • Choice of NVQ
  • ITB 2/3
  • GCSE Maths
  • GCSE English
  • A-Level English
Compulsory modules:
  • A/S Irish or A- Level Irish
  • Work placement
  • Personal & Social Education
