Gaeilge

Is clár/coincheap samhlaíoch é, I dTreo na Fostaíochta, a chuidíonn le Gaeilgeoirí óga Gairmoideachas agus Breis-Oideachas a aimsiú.

Déantar an clár a bhainistiú i gcomhar le Coláiste Feirste agus leis an Choláiste Breis-Oideachais, BMC.   Ó d’athraigh muid formáid an chláir i 2007, d’ardaigh líon na ndaltaí ar an chlár ó  20, dhá bhliain ó shin go dtí níos mó ná 90 i 2009.  Is féidir le daltaí ar an chlár gairmchúrsaí agus cúrsaí acadúla a fháil ar scoil nó ar Choláiste in aon phacáiste amháin.

Tá an coincheap ‘aon phacáiste’ seo i ndáil leis na polasaithe atá ag DENI & DEL faoi láthair le rogha níos mó gairmchúrsaí a chur ar fáil do dhaltaí agus iad ar scoil go fóill.

Is nasc uathúil é an nasc idir Forbairt Feirste/Coláiste Feirste/BMC agus níl a leithéid ar fáil in aon áit eile i dTuaisceart na hÉireann.   Is seirbhís iar-16 bliain phearsanta é don dalta.  Déanann an cúrsa riar ar riachtanais gach dalta, ar scoil nó ar choláiste.  Déantar taithí oibre a shocrú d’achan dalta agus cuidítear leo jabanna nó cursaí ard-oideachais a aimsiú.

Baineann fostaitheoirí tairbhe ón chlár fosta.  Is buntáiste mór iad na Gaeilgeoirí óga ón chlár seo d’fhostaitheoirí nó bíonn scileanna agus taithí acu a bhíonn úsáideach don earnáil.

I dTreo na Fostaíochta is an innovative programme/concept aimed at helping Young Irish speakers access bilingual Vocational and Further Education.

The programme is managed in partnership with Irish medium school Coláiste Feirste and further education college BMC.  In its new format the Forbairt Feirste, I dtreo na Fostaíochta, programme has grown from only 20 students two years ago to over 90 in 2009. The provision aims to address the issue of how students gain both vocational and academic courses at school and/or  college in one whole package.

This whole package approach encourages a unique three way relationship between the employer, the student and the training provider. The Forbairt Feirste/Colaiste Feirste/BMC partnership is the only one of its kind in the North and provides Irish medium students with a bespoke and very personal post 16 provision.  The courses are very much tailored around the students and all their needs whether at school or at college.  Irish medium placements are arranged especially for the students as part of their post-16 package and they are provided with help in accessing, applying and looking for jobs once they have finished their courses.

The Irish Medium job sector also benefits greatly from the growth of this provision, with increased numbers of young Irish Medium speakers going on to work within the sector, particularly in the Irish Medium education sector.  The programme encourages employers to link directly into the provision and their input helps to build and reshape the provision on a year-to-year basis.
